Connect Vamo to your AI tool, run a first search, and fix the common problems yourself.

- Getting started with the Vamo API A quick how-to for getting your team searching: sign in, copy the setup prompt from Home, paste it into your AI agent, and try a search.
- Technical guide to the Vamo API and MCP The technical details of Vamo for the people setting it up: addresses to allow, MCP versus API, how sign-in and API keys work, and a rollout checklist.
- The Vamo setup prompt and fix-it prompt What the setup prompt and fix-it prompt on the Vamo Home page tell your agent, when to use each and when not to, and the full text of both.

How it works
- Vamo sign-in or API key: which should I use? An AI tool proves who you are to Vamo by browser sign-in or by an API key. What each one is, who it suits and how to turn it off.
- MCP, skills and the API: which one should you use? Vamo works with AI tools in three ways: an MCP server, skills and an API. Here is what each one is and when to pick it.
- What is code mode in Vamo? Code mode is how an AI tool works with Vamo: it reads Vamo's guide, writes one small program that can only talk to Vamo, and runs it.
Set up your AI tool
- Allow Vamo in a Claude Team or Enterprise workspace What the admin of a Claude Team or Enterprise workspace must allow for Vamo, what Vamo can access once connected, and who to involve.
- Connect Claude to Vamo Connect Claude on the web or Claude Desktop to Vamo by signing in with your browser, and learn when an API key or skills fit better.
- Connect Claude Code to Vamo Claude Code connects to Vamo by browser sign-in, a setup code, an API key, the Vamo skills plugin or the API. Here is which to choose and what you need.
- ChatGPT Business and Enterprise: what admins allow for Vamo What the admin of a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise workspace allows so members can use Vamo, and why the Vamo tool list may need a refresh later.
- Connect ChatGPT to Vamo Connect ChatGPT to Vamo by signing in with your browser, and learn where Vamo skills fit and what a company workspace changes.
- Connect Cursor to Vamo Connect Cursor to Vamo with a setup code from the Vamo app, and learn when an API key or the direct API fits a developer better.
- Connect Codex to Vamo Connect Codex to Vamo with a setup code from the Vamo app, add Vamo skills, and make sure Codex has the network access it needs to reach Vamo.
- Connect Gemini CLI to Vamo Gemini CLI should connect to Vamo with an API key sent in a header, or by calling the Vamo API directly. Vamo has not confirmed either route yet.
- Can I connect Vamo to the Gemini app? The Gemini app on the web, desktop and phone cannot connect to Vamo yet. What works today with Google tools, and what to use instead.
- Connect another AI tool or your own agent to Vamo Any AI tool or agent can use Vamo. It needs a remote MCP server with sign-in or a header, or HTTP calls with an API key.
- Set up your AI agent to use Vamo Give Claude, Codex, ChatGPT or any other agent the Vamo skills and an API key, so you can ask for developers in plain language.
Use Vamo from your agent
- Deep Research reports as PDF in Vamo Every finished Deep Research report downloads as a PDF that matches the screen, with your logo in the header. How it is made and how a program gets one.
- How to give a coding agent access to the Vamo API Hand a coding agent the Vamo skills, a safely stored API key and the published spec. Then ask it to prove access with one small call first.
- Keep your Vamo API key safe Who can create a Vamo API key, where an agent should keep it, where it should never go, and what to do when a key may have been seen.
- What to ask your agent: connecting Vamo to your workflows Turn a search you ran once into something that runs every week, or works alongside the other tools your agent uses.
- What to ask your agent: finding developers Twelve ways to start a search, from a technology or a company to a full job description, with an example of what to say.
- What to ask your agent: people you already know Use Vamo on candidates, applicants and lists you already have: check their work, fill in missing details, and prepare for the conversation.
Troubleshooting
- Can't find where to add Vamo in my AI tool Your AI tool has no place to add Vamo, or adding it is blocked. The tool or plan may lack custom connectors, or a company admin must allow them.
- Connecting tools needs Pro or Enterprise, or sign-in fails If the Vamo sign-in window will not let you allow an AI tool, the account's plan lacks API keys or your role on the account cannot create them.
- How do I reconnect Vamo or sign in again? When a Vamo connection stops working, sign in again, make a fresh setup line or create a new API key. What to click for each, and how to tidy up after.
- Vamo works on my personal account but not at work Vamo connects on a personal AI tool account but not at work. A company admin controls connectors on the work account. Ask them to allow Vamo.
- "This setup code is not valid" when connecting Vamo A Vamo setup code works once and lasts ten minutes. If your AI tool says the code is not valid, get a fresh line from the Pick your tool section.
- My assistant is not using Vamo, or no Vamo tools appear Your AI tool answers without calling Vamo. Vamo may not be enabled in this conversation. Start a new one and let the assistant check its Vamo connection.
- My assistant shows code or a wall of text instead of people When an AI tool answers a Vamo search with code or a long block of text, the assistant is showing its work. Ask it for a plain table of people.
- This Vamo account cannot run that right now: what it means Your AI tool reached Vamo, but the account cannot run the request for a plan or billing reason. The account owner sorts it out under Billing in the Vamo app.
- Too many requests: what the Vamo error means and what to do Vamo answers "too many requests" when calls arrive too fast or a monthly cap is reached. Wait for the stated interval, stop retries, and work in smaller steps.
- Vamo API errors: what each status and code means Every Vamo API error has a status, a code and a message. This table says what each one means, which detail field to read and what to do next.
- Vamo is added but will not connect, or says unauthorized Your AI tool lists Vamo but cannot connect. The cause is a wrong address, a wrong or revoked key, an unfinished sign-in, or a blocked network.
- Vamo search found no one, or the wrong people A Vamo search that finds no one is still a working connection. The ask was too narrow. Remove one filter and check that your AI tool used Vamo.
- Vamo tools do not show up, or some are missing Your AI tool is connected to Vamo but shows no Vamo tools, or fewer than three. Start a new conversation, or ask a workspace admin to refresh the tool list.
- Vamo worked in my AI tool, then stopped Vamo connected and ran searches, then stopped. The API key was revoked, the sign-in lapsed or was removed, or the plan on the account changed.
